Welcome
to the Making Of section of the the Retaliation site.
Here you'll find some screenshots of the various
elements used to create the short.
Retaliation was a one-man fanfilm shot in the spare room
of my house, and I like the fact that this is what one person
can do with a Greenscreen, a Canon GL2, some software and
an imagination.
The software breakdown for the short includes:
Cinema 4D - 95% of the CG shots
3ds Max - One or 2 3d elements were created in 3dsMax and
composited into the final shots.
Adobe After Effects
- All the editing, compositing, and sound mixing.
Soundforge - Various Sound Effects, and Pilot Voice ADR.
As stated earlier the short was shot on a Canon GL2 and I
used DVMattePro for my Chroma-keying.
The Xwing model I used was courtesy of Scifi3d.com, and
only reqiured a couple minor modifications to make it "the
first prototype". I changed the orange colors to dark red
as seen on the ships in Episode III, and I created new engine
exhaust flares. |
